Dear players! It's been a long time since we had really major updates on the servers that significantly changed the tactics of the game. Basically, we always try to maintain variety in the game, making small changes periodically.
But today everything is a little different! The fact is that the main plugin, which is the basis on our servers - SuperCoop, has received a new version numbering. We have been developing it for more than 10 years, constantly adding new and improving existing code. The first versions were based mainly on the sources of the HardMod plugin, written by the owner of the L4D2 Olympus servers - Jonny. Also, some functions have been improved thanks to the competitive TyMod plugin, written by one of the Semantic server owners - iHX. But after such a large amount of time, there is almost no trace left of the old borrowed developments! The code has been improved and corrected many times, making our servers as resistant to any difficult gaming moments as possible. And now, we have come to the end of the numbering, consisting of 3 numbers. Today we present you a new version of SuperCoop - 1.0.0.0! Well, then, about all the changes in order.
We present to you the new Tank that everyone has been asking and waiting for for a long time - Freezer!
As the name suggests, this Tank freezes the players closest to it when throwing stones, as well as when receiving damage. But all is not lost! You can free yourself from the ice if you press the CTRL button.
In addition to the Tank, a completely new boss has appeared, with his own behavior - Leaker. Yes, it has always existed in the game, but on many servers and on ours, it was disabled. But today everything has changed!
Some Boomers have changed their behavior and ability. They have learned to run fast, and instead of vomiting, they contain a flammable liquid that explodes and ignites easily as soon he as it gets close to the Survivors, which causes significant damage to them!
And the last major innovation is the SoulBox! When it opens, players will exchange souls throughout the current round. This means that your teammate can receive your current health status, whether you are crippled, incapacitated, or even on the brink of life and death! And vice versa. Everyone can feel themselves in someone else's shoes 😄
In addition to these changes, a large refactoring of the code was carried out. Characters, when a player enters the game, will change in order, and not randomly, which led to empty cells in the Score table of the current campaign. Teleport and Combat Tank received slightly different colors to make it easier to distinguish them from the rest. In addition, Combat now receives an additional 10,000 HP if he kills a Survivor! Automatic revival of players on final campaign maps now takes into account players who died more than 1.5 minutes ago, instead of 2.
